Following the recent promotion and transfer of Hyginus Omeje, the Corps Commander of Lagos State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), a new Commander, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide has assumed duty.

Ogungbemide who took over the headship of Lagos FRSC Command with clear understanding of the onerous task ahead of him, unarguably is operating on a known terrain, having served as a one time Unit Commander, Lagos Island Unit Command, Zonal Public Education Officer, Zone 2, Lagos.
The new Lagos Corps Commander was later appointed Sector Head of Operations for Ondo State Sector Command.
In a release made available to nation update by the Route Commander Sector Public Education Officer FRSC,Lagos Sector Command Olabisi Sonusi, Omeje who has been promoted and appointed Assistant Corps Marshal, Federal Operations at the FRSC headquarters handed over the realms of power to Ogungbemide on Thursday 11th June, 2020.
Ogungbemide, who was newly promoted to the rank of Corps Commander, in his median address to Sector heads of departments and Unit Commanders at the handing over ceremony held at the Sector Public Education Hall Ojodu, emphasized that the sector cannot afford to disappoint the Corps Marshal and the nation.

He appealed to all personnel to key into the FRSC strategic goals and not compromise standard, they should at all times hold on to the ideals of the corps.
The new Sector Commander said that the task ahead no doubt is herculean, but are surmountable, “I will not deny the fact that it is going to be a herculean task, we are in for a great expectation to be fulfilled,” he said.
Ogungbemide, a stickler for the rules, and a team player, is from Ondo state and happily married with children.
