Eld-el-Fitr:Nwadialor charges Muslims on peace, perseverance

As Moslems in Nigeria and world over celebrate this year’s Eld-el-Fitr, Nigerians have been called upon to emulate the peaceful and persevering nature of Allah in the face of present realities of life.

A former Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association,(NBA) Lagos branch, Barrister Uche Nwadialor made the call in her goodwill message to Nigerians and particularly lawyers in the country.

She stated that this period is obviously a trying time for all Nigerians, regardless of religion, tribe and profession, and urged all Nigerians to come together for a common goal.

“As mere mortals, we cannot achieve anything by our wisdom and strength,but with prayers and determination.

” And as a country and global nation, we can collectively overcome our challenges and live a peaceful life together as one,” she stated.

Nwadialor, a renowned lawyer with speciality in Media and Entertainment Law however reminded Nigerians that this year’s Eid-el-Fitr stands out unique in the sense that it has come at a time when the global community is being threatened by the COVID -19 pandemic.

“I therefore use this occasion to call on all Muslims to pray against the pandemic ravaging the global community and to dedicate themselves to the service of Almighty Allah.

“I further entreat you to abide by the safety measures against spread of the virus as stipulated by Nigerian Centre for Disease Control [NCDC], and other health experts.

“The coronavirus pandemic should not make us lose focus as a people with common destiny,” she advised.
