Curfew reimposed from 3pm to 6am against COVID-19 spread

As the spread of the novel coronavirus continues to stream deeper,causing more health and economic damages, Saudi Arabia has imposed curfew back in the Red Sea city of Jeddah to stop the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Saudi Arabia Agency (SPA), the curfew will be from 3:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m for two weeks which has started on Saturday.

Office work in the area will be suspended, as prayers in the city’s mosques were also suspended.

Employees of ministries, government agencies and private sector companies in the city will not work from the office, the statement added.

Domestic flights and train journeys will continue to operate and people can enter and exit the city outside of the curfew. Restaurants and cafes will no longer serve food and drink on their premises. Gatherings of more than five people are prohibited.
