COVID 19: Lawmaker promises to champion grassroot support

As the fear of possible lockdown in the country  continues to gather stem by the day, the lawmaker representing Oshodi /Isolo Constituency ll in the  Lagos State House of Assembly has assured of his readiness to optimally support his constituents.

The lawmaker, Hon.Jude Idimogu in his new year message restated that as the fear of a second wave of lockdown looms following the increasing cases of the COVID- 19 pandemic in Nigeria in particular, there has become need to redouble his support to all nook and cranny of the constituency.

In a New Year message, signed by the Special Assistant on media and publicity, to the lawmaker  Mr Henry Uzodimma,  made available to Nation Update, Idimogu charged his constituents to be positive about the new year despite the enormous challenges of the out gone year.

“In 2020, the people of the state faced serious economic challenges occasioned by COVID-19. I want to assure you all that in 2021, I will double my efforts in reaching out to every nook and cranny of my constituency in providing them with Democratic dividends.”

Idimogu expressed optimism that the year 2021 will be a year of unprecedented blessings, testimonies and breakthrough for Lagosians and the country at large than the year 2020.

“Lagosians would see light at the end of the tunnel over the current hardship occasioned by the (Global threat) Covid-19 pandemic”.

The lawmaker who is also the House Committee Chairman on Wealth Creation and Employment however enjoined his constituents to be grateful to God for his goodness in keeping them safe and alive to celebrate the new year, as well as pray that 2021 will be far better than the previous year.

He assured his constituents that he would continue to represent them at the Lagos House of Assembly as God would enable him, in the service to mankind.

Before the 2020 Christmas, the lawmaker had stayed true to his words of regular donations of “stomach infrastructure” by donating food items to his constituents.

They had thronged out in their thousands at his home in the area to receive the food items for the Christmas season from their honourable member who took out time to personally supervise the sharing.

Idimogu used the occasion to harp on the need for love and peace in the land, and the need to eschew bitterness and all forms of violence, insisting that the progress and security of the nation are anchored on good neighborliness and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.

“If we live peacefully with one another we will not be confronted with issues of armed banditry, herdsmen attacks, kidnapping and other vices threatening the soul of our great Country.

The seasoned accountant whose birthday fall within the Christmas period, on the 23 December which afforded a golden opportunity to family, friends, constituents and colleagues to show their love for him.

Idimogu, a Knight of St Molumba in the Catholic Church used the birthday anniversary to rededicate himself to selfless service of Oshodi/Isolo Constituency ll.

In her message of appreciation to God, the wife of the lawmaker, Lady Roseline Idimogu, praised the Almighty father for the favour of healthy life to her husband and family.

She stated that everything he has passed through in life has strengthened him and made him more focused.

Lady Idimogu restated that the husband’s services to humanity are made possible only by God’s love, strength and courage.

“I know that we shall grow old together and he will continue to succeed in our determination to serve God and humanity especially at this trying time.

“We shall achieve greater heights through God who strengthens us,” she stressed.
