Building materials fire outbreak: Lawmaker sympathasis with traders

Lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Jude Idimogu has commiserated with traders at the building materials market Oke Afa, Ejigbo, in the Lagos State.

 

The mystery fire incident which started at about 9pm ravaged parts of the market, destroying goods and property worth several millions of the naira.

 

Though no life was lost in the process, the Lawmaker however described it as unfortunate. The cause of the fire incident could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

While sympathising with those affected, Idimogu who visited the scene on the spot assessment said the idea was to see things for himself and to device measures to ensure that such incident does not reoccur in the future.

 

The fire affected traders almost all the sections of the market where goods and property said to run into millions of naira were destroyed.

 

Idimogu made this known through his Special Assistant on media and Publicity, Mr Henry Uzodinma in a statement.
