AIG lauds selfless services, grassroots policing of PCRC members at 41 years anniversary

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police(AIG) in charge of the Maritime Police Command, Musa Yusuf Garba, has extolled the unwavering commitment, diligence, and selfless service of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) members.

Speaking at the 41st Anniversary of the PCRC last Thursday, 8 May, 2025 held at the Maritime Police Command, Force Headquarters Annex, Obalende, Lagos, the AIG describing their contributions as pivotal to community safety and national development.

In a release signed by ASP Adebayo Rasheed made available to Nation Update, AIG Musa extended his warmest felicitations to the Chairman, Mr. Udoh George, and the entire members of the PCRC-Maritime Police Command.

He restated that PCRC as an essential arm of the Nigeria Police Force dedicated to fostering mutual trust and collaboration between the police and the citizenry, no doubt deserves commendations and expressions of goodwill from notable stakeholders.

The maritime police boss extolled the PCRC’s steadfast support to the Police, particularly in enhancing police-citizen relations within the maritime sector, and reaffirmed his dedication to sustaining the cordial relationship between them and the Command.

He restated that such collaboration remains integral to the strategic vision of the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring effective policing and fostering peace within the maritime domain. He hearfully assured of his continuous support to the PCRC.
