…calls for state of emergency on youth unemployment for food security

The President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has congratulated Nigerian youths on International Youth Day(IYD), highlighting the significance of their collective action in driving the country’s sustainable prosperity.
Arch Kabir Ibrahim, National President, AFAN in a statement made available to Nationupdate stated that the future of all Nigeria depends on the innovative and selfless efforts of its teeming youth population.
He emphasized the need for leadership at all levels to recognize the potential of Nigerian youths and provide them with the necessary support to create sustainable inclusive businesses.
He however proposed thus, “All we need to do is to support the Youth to create sustainable IBs (Inclusive Business) through the evolution of SBA (Small Business Administration) bureau with offices in the 774 LGAs.
The SBA should provide business plans at no cost to participating Youth and also facilitate access to credit from financial institutions amenable to financial inclusion.”
Ibrahim who is also the President, Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on youth unemployment, leveraging the invaluable youth resource in every Nigerian household to make Nigeria great.
To the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he expressed gratitude to God for his good health and commitment to the nation’s development.
The AFAN President’s remarks underscore the importance of empowering Nigerian youths to drive sustainable economic growth and achieve food security.
He further stated, “With the right support and policies, youth-driven AgriTech projects can play a crucial role in transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector and ensuring a brighter future for the country.”
