NSCDC, Lagos command bags award

The Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in  its efforts to position the corps to the attainment of the dreams of its founding heros has once more bagged award, as the youth influencer of the year.

The award bestowed on the NSCDC Lagos State Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASCI Abolurin Oluwaseun Olumide

for his role towards crime reduction and a high intellectual performance, in a concert and award ceremony, organised by Global Angels, held today, Sunday, 31st October, 2021, at the Yintab Hall, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The event themed: “Immortals” also had the PRO deliver his speech. In the words of the convener, “Mr Lordson Benson, the event was designed to empower, motivate and impact the lives of youths in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

In his address, the NSCDC spokesperson implored the Youths to imbibe Creativity, Character and Confidence, as they pursue their God – given talents, careers and dreams. He posited that there is no star without a scar.

Olumide further affirmed that it will take sacrificial and passionate service, for anyone to achieve optimal success in their field or discipline, charged the youths to remain committed, disciplined, forthright, focussed and dedicated to their assignment as the time of reward will surely come.

The event also featured the ministry of youth and social development, Lagos State, musical artistes, actors, the Divisional Officer and officers and men of the Ikorodu Division, relevant stakeholders amongst others.

Olumide thanked God for the honour on him, he therefore dedicated the award to his late father, Mr Oyebola Emmanuel Abolurin and his mother, Mrs Funmilayo Deborah Abolurin who have been a great childhood inspirator to him, his mother who has been a great and rare mother of sort till date.

He also seized the occasion of this award to recognize the indelible support of his family, to his job, which has culminated into numerous recognitions and awards of excellence , by reputable organisations both in the past and present, such as Global Angels and many others.
