As the gubernatorial election in lmo state draws nearer, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, has tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state is free, fair and credible.
Senator Samuel Anyanwu disclose this during an interactive session with the indigenes of lmo state in Lagos stated that if elected, he would make lmo safe again.
He went further to state that in his first 100 days in office, he would create 23,000 jobs by employing 20 youths from each community who are lCT compliant.
He also said that he would give amnesty to agitating youths in the state so as to curb criminal clashes which have been on the increase.
” We are going to restore peace in lmo, the state was known as the hospitality hub of South East, today reverse is the case. A lot of people are out of job because they have been retrenched and some companies shut down for lack of patronage based.
Issue of insecurity bedeviling the state today is government induced”
To Anyanwu, to create job and help curb insecurity in lmo state, he said, “l will establish a program called community based guard initiative, train and retrain our public school teachers and ensure that our public schools compete with private schools.” He stated.
Senator Anyanwu who is the National Secretary of the party, called on the people of lmo state to role out failure, noting that the present administration has failed woefully as he appealed to the electoral body to conduct a credible election so as to avoid jeopardizing the destiny of lmolites.
Speaking at the event, the Lagos State Coordinator for SamJones Campaign and PDP House of Representatives for Oshodi lsolo federal constituency 2, Ebenezer lKe Obioma said that the event is to mobilize the people in Lagos state to participate in the upcoming gubernatorial election in lmo state.
” This coming election will determine the future of lmo state and its indigenes. We will not allow anybody to continue to destroy lmo state”
” Imo state is the only we have,so whatever we will do to change this government legitimately to allow peace to come back to lmo state, we must do and make lmo state safe again.”
He appealed to lNEC to conduct free, fair and credible election.
