Abba Kyari: Farmers assoc. condoles with family, Nigerians

All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), has commiserated with the family of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari who died in active service on Friday 17, 2020.

A  release by the AFAN President,  Arc. Kabir Ibrahim mourns with the family, the Presidency and entire Nigerians following  the announcement of the death of Mallam Kyari from Covid-19 by the presidency sources  signed by Femi Adesina, special adviser to the President on media and publicity.

He advised Nigerians to adhare strictly to the directives of the federal ministry of health and the National  Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), especially as it concerns social distancing, warning  that the infection is a real threat to life without any cure yet.

Ibrahim said, “I have learned of the death of Mallam Abba Kyari and wish his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“I also wish to commiserate with Nigerians on his loss to Covid-19 and ask them to stay safe by observing social distancing and general hygiene to prevent infection, as the coronavirus is a real threat to life and there appears to be no cure for it yet.”

Kyari in his late 70s, was the highest profile person to die from the disease in Nigeria and West Africa.

Nigeria has so far recorded  17 death cases and 493 infected cases according  to the release from NCDC On Friday.

The deceased had tested positive to the disease shortly he had returned from Germany on an official visit, it would be recalled that upon his returned, he attended series of meetings with senior government officials.

Africa has so far recorded 1,000 deaths from the pandemic, as Algeria tops with 364 followed by Egypt with 205 people.
