Just in: Akpabio releases names of chairmen of Committees including, Lawan, Tambuwal, Abaribe while Ndubueze heads works

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Monday, made known names of chairmen, their deputies and members of some standing committees in the upper legislative arm of the nation, the committee chairmen were made up of new and old members of the senate and also cut across parties line.

Yari

The immediate past senate president, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, heads Defence, ex governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal heads Housing and Sen. Abdul-aziz Yari heads Water resources and Adams Oshiomole, Interior.

 

Abaribe, Akpabio and Ndubueze

The outspoken Abia senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe heads Power, Isa Jubril from Kogi East leads Custom, Gbenga Daniel heads Navy, while Osita Izunaso heads Capital market, Sen. Patrick Ndubueze of Imo West heads Works Committee.

Kingigbe

Orji Uzor Kalu takes charge of Privatization. Sen. Ireti Kingigbe is Women Affairs, Mustapha Saliu – Agriculture, Aliyu Bilbis – Communications and Asuquo Ekpenyong – NDDC.

Dickson

Other chairmen from the list released so far are: Sentors Godiya Akwashiki (Airforce), Buhari Abdul-Fata (Aviation), Cyril Fasuyi (Establishment), Seriake Dickson (Ecology/Climate Change), Petroleum Downstream (Jide Ipisagba), Aliyu Wadada (Public Account), Shehu Kaka (Special Duties), Solomon Adeola (Appropriations), Musa Sani (Finance), and Abiru Tokunbo (Banking).

Abbo and Umeh

Also made chairmen were: Elisha Abbo (Culture and Tourism), Victor Umeh (Diaspora), Lawal Usman (Education), Akintunde Yunus (Environment), Ibrahim Bomai (FCT), Sani Abubakar (Foreign Affairs), Banigo Harry (Health), and Aliyu Wamakko (Local and Foreign Debts).

Aliero and Monguno

Other chairmen in the list include; Adamu Aliero (Land), Barinada Mpigi (Niger Delta), Mohammed Monguno (Judiciary) and Yemi Adaramodu (Youths and Sports).

The President of the tenth Senate released the latest information after the conformation process of 45 of the 48 ministerial nominees sent to the sent by President Bola Tinubu has been completed.
