The activities of armed militia have been in the increase in southern Taraba particularly and in many other parts of the country. The situation no doubt has discouraged many farmers from engaging in farming activities in the area.

When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer, for Taraba Police command, DSP David Misal, confirmed the incident.

“Criminals have taken over our land, it gets worse by the day. killing and kidnapping our farmers by the day, travellers are not safe also,” he said.
